We Believe

The United Methodist Church is a global denomination that opens hearts, opens minds and opens doors through active engagement with our world. The mission of The United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

John Wesley and the early Methodists placed primary emphasis on Christian living, on putting faith and love into action. This emphasis on what Wesley referred to as "practical divinity" has continued to be a hallmark of United Methodism today.

The United Methodist Church shares a great deal with other denominations. Explore what we believe about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, and more.

We also have a unique heritage and areas of emphasis. Learn what we mean when we talk about grace, how we serve people around the world, and ways we grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Our mission

Our mission is to serve the Lord through Christ-like love, care and prayer for one another and our community.

Pastor Kathy

I arrived at Webster UMC in 2018 and am blessed to have seen the growth of this church. From the day I first attended and was then hired, this church has surrounded me with the love of Jesus through addiction recovery and growing my relationship with Jesus.  I am also active in jail, prison and re-entry ministry, which is where I met my husband Bud.

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. —Mathew 25:35-36
